What a privilege to meet some of the legends of aviation - not just the people but the aeroplanes too ......

One of the unexpected but truly gratifying spin-offs of the success of Breitling Orbiter 3 is the opportunity to meet and in some cases become friends with some of the great names in aviation today.

If you will forgive me name-dropping for a moment, I am talking about many of the Apollo mission astronauts including Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Mike Collins, Gene Cernan etc. Simply amazing aeroplane pilots such as Bob Hoover, Patty Wagstaff, Chuck Yeager, Ray Hannah, Nigel Lamb etc. Not forgetting of course some famous names in ballooning - Ed Yost, Don Cameron, Richard Abruzzo, Steve Fossett, Per Lindstrand and a host of others.

Also, I have had the opportunity to fly in some incredible aircraft.

So at the risk of appearing a little self-indulgent, I thought I might share some of the photos captured over the last ten years or so of some of these heroes of mine and some of the aircraft I have been privileged to fly in.
